DuPont Pretreatment Solution is a non-toxic spray that should be applied using a machine or while wearing a mask. It serves as an excellent all-in-one solution, eliminating the need to switch between different pretreatments.

It works effectively on cottons and blend fabrics, ensuring good performance and print quality. For all DTG printers that apply white ink to dark garments, garment pretreatment is a necessary step. Typically, this involves spraying the shirt and then applying heat with a press.

This process flattens all the fibers, resulting in a smooth surface ideal for printing. The pretreatment also enhances ink adhesion to the garment, resulting in more vibrant final prints and minimal to no fibrillation (small fibers protruding from the ink).

Application is straightforward: before printing on your garments, spray them with pretreatment solution. DTG pretreatment can be applied to the garment using either a manual hand sprayer or a dedicated automated machine.

IMPORTANT: Pretreatment is a substance that demands serious attention, and it's essential to use the appropriate protective gear like goggles and masks when applying it. While it is non-toxic, it's important to keep in mind that pretreatment essentially consists of adhesive material, and prolonged inhalation of adhesive fumes can have adverse consequences on your health over time.

CAUTION: WORK IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA and wear PROTECTIVE GEAR (including masks and gloves) while handling specialty printing and curing materials and techniques (such as DTF, DTG, UV, WTT, etc.), due to the potential hazards from fumes and processes. It's strongly advised to use a fume extractor in addition to maintaining proper ventilation when using DTF powder.
Operating any specialty ink printing devices and materials, including inks, chemicals, powders, etc., is entirely at the user's risk.
To reduce the chances of ink clogs and film warping, maintain the environment for specialty inks and films within optimal humidity (50% - 70%) and temperature (75° to 80°F) conditions. To reduce the likelihood of ink clogs and prevent film buckling, it is strongly advised to maintain a room humidity 50%-70% and a temperature 75°-80°F / 24°-27°C.
